In the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region, during the demining of the territory of pyrotechnics, the State Emergency Service came under Russian fire, the State Emergency Service reported on December 20.

“Today, during the survey of the territory with a pyrotechnic calculation in the Pokrovsky district, there was an enemy attack on the site of demining operations. The sappers’ car was damaged by shrapnel. Fortunately, the personnel were not injured and are now at a safe distance from the affected area,” the message states.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
