During the negotiations, important issues of future cooperation between Ukraine and Lithuania for 2025 were discussed.
Umerov congratulated Shakaliene on his appointment to the new position and expressed his gratitude for the significant military support that Lithuania provides to Ukraine. The Lithuanian minister confirmed that her country will continue to allocate 0.25% of its GDP to help Ukraine, which is another confirmation of unwavering support.
The parties also discussed key areas of cooperation, in particular the supply of drones and electronic warfare equipment for the Ukrainian military, as well as efforts to clear the territories.
Umerov emphasized the importance of strengthening defense cooperation between Ukraine and Lithuania to ensure the security of not only these two countries, but also the whole of Europe. He thanked Lithuania for its solidarity and constant support in the struggle for freedom.
