This was announced by the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Ivan Havrylyuk, during the Government Question Hour in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

“The draft law is practically developed and ready to be issued and submitted to the Verkhovna Rada through the Cabinet of Ministers,” he said regarding the draft law on demobilization.

At the same time, he noted that demobilization itself is currently impossible due to a lack of reserves.

“Until we prepare the reserves of military personnel to replace those who are currently fighting on the frontline, it is practically impossible to do this, because it will lead to the loss of the state,” Havryliuk emphasized.

Demobilization of the military – what you need to knowAs UNIAN reported, the secretary of the VRU Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Roman Kostenko noted that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine plans to complete work on the draft law on determining the order and conditions for the release of servicemen from service by December 18.

People’s deputy of Ukraine, member of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Oleksandr Fedienko notes that the guys who have been fighting at the front for several years are tired, they need rotation, demobilization. He added that the government has already been instructed to develop and submit the relevant bill to the Verkhovna Rada.

At the same time, he noted that no one knows when the active phase of hostilities will end, because someone says that in the middle of next year, and someone says that by the end of 2026. He emphasized that it is now impossible to predict when the law on demobilization may be adopted.
