Electricity consumption in Ukraine today is showing a downward trend due to warming, however, amid a deficit, there is a need for economical electricity consumption, Ukrenergo reported on Friday, UNN reported.

Consumption

“Consumption is showing a downward trend. Today, on December 20, as of 7:00 a.m., the level of electricity consumption was 1.8% lower than the previous day, Thursday. Yesterday, December 19, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 2.8% lower than the previous day’s maximum on Wednesday, December 18. This is due to an increase in air temperature in most regions,” the company said.

Ukrenergo notes that “now the Ukrainian power system continues to recover from twelve massive Russian attacks since the beginning of this year, and there is a significant power shortage.” “That is why the need for economical electricity consumption is still preserved,” the NPC said.

Import

It will be supplied throughout the day from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova. The total volume is 11,419 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 1,207 MW in some hours.

Situation at ZNPP

“The water level in the cooling pond is 14.09 meters. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant,” the Ministry of Energy said.
