“As a result of combat work, air defense shot down all five ballistic missiles “Iskander-M”/KN-23, which Russian criminals directed at Kyiv. Unfortunately, after a sneaky enemy attack, there are consequences on the ground. Debris from the downed missiles caused damage and destruction in five districts of the capital, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded,” the command reports.
The military is asked to react instantly to the threat of ballistic strikes, because there is very little time to go to shelter.
Also, during the night attack that began on the evening of December 19, the Russian army launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 65 Shahed and other types of attack drones over Ukraine.

The launches were carried out from the Bryansk, Millerov, Orla and Primorsko-Akhtarsk regions of Russia. The air attack was repulsed by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces.
“As of 09:30, the downing of 40 Shahed-type attack UAVs and drones of other types in the Kursk, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions has been confirmed. “Due to the active countermeasures of the Defense Forces, 20 enemy drone simulators were lost in location (without negative consequences),” the summary states.
According to the Air Force, the strikes damaged houses, medical facilities, warehouses and farms in Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kyiv and Kharkiv regions.
Kyiv authorities reported nine wounded in the capital as a result of the morning attack and one dead.
According to the updated data of the KMVA, the debris fell in the Holosiiv, Solomyan, Shevchenkiv, Dnipro and Pechersk districts.
