On Thursday, December 19, a video was published on the Internet with police and people in military uniform who stopped a car in Vyshgorod and then tried to set fire to the gas inside. The Ministry of Defense said that they are already conducting an inspection.
Updated at 8:11 p.m. The police of the Kyiv region reacted to the incident and started an official investigation. During the investigation, both police officers were suspended from their duties.
Local Telegram channels indicated that people in military uniform tried to force the driver to get out of the car with the help of gas. Then they set it on fire, the car did not catch fire.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated that the incident took place in Vyshhorod, Kyiv region. The Ministry is already identifying those involved in illegal actions.
“Regarding the incident in Vyshgorod, recorded on video and distributed in social networks, the Ministry of Defense, in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, is conducting an investigation and identifying the persons involved in this situation. All those involved in this incident will be prosecuted in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine,” the message reads.

The ministry also emphasized that such actions are unacceptable and undermine confidence in the Defense Forces.
