Denmark has allocated 2.1 billion Danish kroner (more than 281 million euros) to strengthen Ukrainian air defense, the country’s Ministry of Defense announced on December 19.

The package also includes a financial contribution to the operation of Ukrainian F-16 fighters.

“One of the most urgent needs of Ukraine now is the ability to protect itself from Russian airstrikes. That is why we are prioritizing greater support for air defense,” said the country’s Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.
