The head coach of London Chelsea, Enzo Maresca, commented on the extension of the contract with Josh Achimpong, a pupil of the “Blues” academy. His words are quoted by the official website of “pensioners”.

“I’m very happy. With Josh, everything was extremely clear, he was with us in the preseason, and I didn’t know him personally, but after two or three days he really made an impression on me. Since the beginning of the preseason, I tried to better understand the situation with him through his contract and things like that.

The club finally reached an agreement with him and we are all happy because we are convinced that Josh can be a great player for this club. I think he should stay close to us. So it will be much better for me if he is here,” said Maresca.

Josh Acheampong has played two matches (117 minutes) for Chelsea this season.
