Callas believes that if the EU and the US start a trade war, “the American people will not benefit from it either.” Therefore, in her opinion, one should be very careful.
“If you look at China, we have to stick together. I mean Europe and the United States. If we have a trade war between the United States and the European Union, who’s laughing? China is laughing loudly,” she concluded.

On October 15, the European Union even prepared a list of American goods that it can impose tariffs in response to Trump’s implementation of the threat to introduce tariffs on European imports.
