“But all this is not enough to say that Putin will not come (with war – ed.) again,” the president said.
He emphasized that this is why Ukraine has no right to agree to the reduction of the armed forces.
“The best (of the options for guarantees, – ed.) is a strong army, a large army. The largest army in Europe. We simply do not have the right to limit the strength of our army, in any case, even on the way to NATO. Until we are in NATO, we are taking a risk,” Zelensky said.
He also emphasized that part of the guarantees should be a “strong economy”, in particular, and financing of Ukraine’s budget deficit during the war. The President emphasized that Kyiv is successful in this matter: “We know how to close the deficit in 2025.”
