The new head of the European Council assured: the EU will support Ukraine as long as it is needed

Ukraine can count on the support of the European Union both during war and in peacetime. This was said by the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, before the meeting of the European Council on Thursday UNN.

Kosta said that it is a great honor for him to be next to President Zelensky when he heads the European Council for the first time in his new position.

“At this meeting we will discuss two main points. First of all, Ukraine, and then Europe in the world. Regarding Ukraine, we must be very clear. You can count on our full unwavering support for as long as it takes. Now, during the war, and in the future, in peace. And we want to welcome you here as a member of the European Union. And we will work with you in order to get a comprehensive, just and lasting peace,” Kosta said.
