As the press service of the Ministry of Defense reports, during the visit of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi to Lviv, the Minister of Defense Rustem Umyerov reported to the head of state about the results of the audit of the main inspection of the Ministry of Defense regarding the activities of the National Academy of Ground Forces and numerous violations discovered by the Military Intelligence Service.

“Today, by order of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Pavlo Tkachuk was dismissed from the position of head of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny,” the message says.

According to the investigation, the officer beat and humiliated the cadets for more than a year, trying to “teach” them discipline and order. This took place on the territory of the academy in Lviv and in the barracks in one of the villages of the region.
