Australia is the largest donor of military aid to Ukraine outside of NATO. The total amount of aid provided is more than 1 billion US dollars, of which 880 million dollars is military support. Current defense needs were discussed
He also noted that the transfer of 50 million euros from Australia to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will open a credit line for Ukraine in the amount of 250 million euros.
He also called on Australian business to join the reconstruction. The Prime Minister added that Wong announced Australia’s contribution to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine in the amount of 6.39 million US dollars.
He emphasized the importance of strengthening sanctions against Russia and thanked the Australian government for joining the initiative to counter the “shadow fleet” of the Russian Federation
