In Lviv, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with students of the Ukrainian Catholic University.

According to UCU rector Taras Dobko, 95% of this year’s entrants received a state grant for education.

“I am very glad that there is grant support and that you are in Ukraine, with Ukraine in your heart. It is so important that you are here, that you are so young, so talented. And separately, I want to thank educational institutions of this level in our country,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

In total, about 200 students from various faculties and programs attended the meeting. Particular attention was paid to how to return young people who went abroad due to the war.

“The first thing is to unite those people who are there. Not around everything, but around values. Around the fact that it is necessary to restore and revive a peaceful Ukraine after the end of the war,” the President noted.

The head of state emphasized that it is important to work with Ukrainians abroad, and not push them away, to provide more services and help. The Ministry of National Unity was created for this purpose.

Among the other issues voiced by the students are support for youth and their initiatives, participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine, and law-making.

Volodymyr Zelenskyi thanked the students for their activity and involvement. All raised questions and proposals will be processed by government institutions and discussed with people’s deputies.
