On December 17, during a visit to Kharkiv, Dmytro Lubinets commented on the case of the 211th brigade.
“The legal response yesterday from my side was already made public, including publicly. Urgent response acts, legal documents were sent from me to the Military Law and Order Service, to the law enforcement sector, to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, where I demand an urgent transparent investigation and, in case confirmation of these facts, prosecution,” the official said.
I watched yesterday personally the reaction of the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense. As I learned, there have been appeals since September 2024 regarding this situation, and we are now checking not only the fact that became known to us, but also what was the reaction to previous appeals. According to the facts of the illegal actions of the commanders of the 211th pontoon-bridge brigade, criminal proceedings have been initiated, the commander of the mentioned brigade was informed today of the suspicion of abuse of official position, searches were carried out in the military unit, at the place of residence of the commander, servicemen and at the construction site, the Office reported Prosecutor General on Tuesday.
Dmytro Lubinets reacted to reports of abuse of soldiers in the 211th pontoon-bridge brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. “I immediately sent letters to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Military Law and Order Service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine to verify information and conduct an official investigation with the aim of further response,” the official said.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Syrskyi sent a commission to verify information about abuse in the 211th pontoon-bridge brigade. The commander of the unit was temporarily suspended from duty.
