Ukraine needs 12-15 more air defense systems to fully protect the country – Zelenskyi

After the massive Russian missile attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure last Friday, Russia will try to strike again as soon as it is ready, so additional air defense systems are needed for protection. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi during his address to the summit of the countries participating in the Joint Expeditionary Force, reports UNN.

“Last Friday night, the Russians launched a massive missile strike against our energy infrastructure. They waited for the cold weather to strike. The strike involved 94 missiles and nearly 200 attack drones. Fortunately, we were able to defend ourselves. But we know: it’s just a pause and russia will try to strike again as soon as they’re ready.that’s why we need a solid defense against air terror, which means the presence of a sufficient number of air defense systems,” Zelenskyy said.

According to him, Ukraine needs full implementation of the agreements on the supply of air defense systems, in particular those reached at the NATO summit in Washington.
