The player had a contract until the end of the season.

This season, the 37-year-old Ukrainian played 12 matches in which he played 441 minutes on the field without any productive actions.
“The football path is short. Although I spent 20 years at the professional level. There were a lot of good moments and experiences. I had an active contract until the end of the season with LNZ, but I made a decision and I consider it balanced.
First of all, I’m a little tired psychologically. I always want to win. I am not the kind of football player who will sit on the bench and be satisfied with what is in the team. Besides, I’m applying for an A coaching license and I don’t want to waste time, because when you’re an active football player, you can’t study. If I didn’t do it now, I would have lost a whole year.
What is mentioned above all for a career? The first is Dynamo, because I was in the academy and went through all the steps to the main team. I had a dream to play for the first team and it came true.
I also remember Metalist. Great 2.5 years. The coach who used me correctly on the field knew how to talk to me, how to motivate and when to push. I enjoyed playing football in Metalist.
Dnipro was also a great club, a great team, and I enjoyed the process. But there I did not develop a relationship with Juande Ramos. I remember this club with warmth in my heart. And I probably learned the most in Vitesse. In terms of life and attitude to football, there was a top coach (Peter Bosch).
At the age of 31, I thought about quitting football, even prepared a letter about it. When I was in Finland, I had a goal to return to Ukraine and prove to everyone who thought I was a downed pilot, that it was not so. I am very grateful to Skrypnik for inviting me to Vorskla. I had a dream to finish my career in Ukraine.
I will study a lot. I agreed with Peter Bosch that I would come to him to watch the training and chat to better understand the processes. I have very big ambitions. Time will tell what kind of coach I will be,” Olijnyk said in an interview with UPL TV.
During his career, Oliynyk played 480 matches, in which he scored 104 goals and provided 37 assists. He played for SIK, Metalist, Vitez, Dynamo-2, Dnipro, Vorskla, Arsenal Kyiv, Naftovik, Desna, Dynamo, Darmstadt and Helios.
Denys also has 12 matches as part of the Ukrainian national team, in which he provided two assists.
Oliynyk has three trophies in his career – all of them were won in a Dynamo shirt – the UPL championship in the 2006/07 season, the Ukrainian Cup in the same season and the National Super Cup in the 2007/08 season.
