Dmytro Lazutkin, the spokesman of the department, said this on Radio Svoboda.He believes that information about systematic violations of military rights could have been covered up on the ground: soldiers who suffered or witnessed it could be afraid to report it because of intimidation.

Abuse of military personnel in the 211th brigade – detailsIn the 211th pontoon-bridge brigade, they abused the military and demanded money from them. According to journalists, the platoon commander of the first battalion of the 211th pontoon-bridge brigade and the son of the chief of staff, Vladyslav Pastukh, threatened, demanded money, and brutally abused the military, but was not punished.
The commanders systematically mocked the soldiers and brutally beat them. The Temporary Special Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine became aware of this back on September 10, after which various pieces of evidence were sent to the SBI. People’s deputy of Ukraine Yuliya Yatsyk told about it.
She added that the soldiers were beaten for money. According to her, the commanders demanded that the soldiers pay them so that the beatings would stop.
