Velez Sarsfield became the champion of Argentina for the first time in 11 years.

The team from Buenos Aires won the national championship in the 2024 season, scoring 51 points in 27 rounds. Talieres finished second in the table, 3 points behind the leader, losing at home in the final round to Newell’s Old Boys (1:3)

In the 27th round of the Argentine Primera, Velez Sarsfield beat Huracan (2:0), goals were scored by Claudio Aquino and Damian Fernandez.
