This is reported by ANSA.It is noted that the package of Italian military aid to Ukraine will be presented by Defense Minister Guido Crozetto on December 18. However, the list of weapons that will be sent to Kyiv is confidential, as was the case with previous packages of military aid to Ukraine.
The country’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, also made a statement in this regard.
“Italy stands next to Kyiv in full commitment to a just peace, which cannot be the capitulation of Ukraine,” he said.
According to him, work is currently underway to organize a second peace conference, also with the participation of Russia, and “with such partners as China, India and Brazil.”
He recalled that during the meeting of the “Big Seven” foreign ministers in November, they “reaffirmed again the central importance of supporting Ukraine’s energy security and its restoration.”
The minister added that such commitment “puts Italy at the forefront of the Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine”, which will be held in Rome in July 2025.
Military aid for UkraineIn mid-December, the United States of America allocated a new package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of 500 million dollars. This was announced by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
It is noted that the new aid package will include, in particular, ammunition for the HIMARS rocket launcher systems. Also, the States will transfer anti-tank weapons and means to counter drones.
