President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and listened to a report on the security situation in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro Oblast.
On Ground Forces Day, the Head of State presented Major General Mykhailo Drapatoy as the commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and noted that he expects the result – to stop the enemy and win.
“I am grateful for the trust to lead the most powerful and most numerous branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For my part, I will do everything so that the species develops, acquires the appropriate capabilities and is ready for all the challenges that await us in the future. People, technologies and management processes are my priorities in my activity,” said Mykhailo Drapaty.
During the meeting, the head of the Zaporizhzhya OVA, Ivan Fedorov, reported on the construction of fortifications and the strengthening of the operational line. A multi-echelon line was built on the territory of the region, which includes the circular defense of individual cities. He also talked about defense production and protection of energy facilities in the region.
According to Ivan Fedorov, Zaporizhzhia ranks first among other regions in terms of funding for the Defense Forces. In particular, the region handed over drones, EW and communication equipment, and cars to military units. Volodymyr Zelenskyy called to spread the experience of the Zaporizhzhia region in patronage of combat units to all regions bordering the Russian Federation.
The head of state also heard information about the strengthening of the Air Defense Forces of Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro region.
Particular attention is paid to the restoration of heating in Kryvyi Rih. Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction – Minister of Community and Territorial Development, noted that 90% of the work has been completed. 68 repair teams from all over the country work in the city. Oleksiy Kuleba noted that due to disruption of the heating season in Kryvyi Rih, criminal proceedings have been opened.
As the head of Dnipropetrovsk OVA Serhiy Lysak reported, currently 218 houses remain without heat, which are planned to be connected to heating on December 22-23.
