Law enforcement agencies are investigating the involvement of soldiers of the 211th pontoon-bridge brigade of the Armed Forces Support Forces in the construction of a house in the Khmelnytskyi region while they were deployed to perform tasks in the combat zone. The involvement of Brigadier Colonel Oleg Poberezhniuk is established.

Details: The Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the field of defense of the Western region of the UP reported that a pre-trial investigation is ongoing into the fact that the military of the 211th pontoon-bridge brigade built a house in the Khmelnytskyi region while they were deployed to perform combat missions.
Direct speech the spokeswoman of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the field of defense of the Western region, Yulia Shevchenko: “Suspects have not been announced. Evidence is being collected, the results of an economic examination are awaited to establish damages, and the involvement of other persons in the crime is being checked.”
More details: According to Shevchenko, the status of brigade commander Colonel Poberezhnyuk in the case is currently being established.
UP asked Brigadier General Poberezhnyuk for a comment on this matter. The officer of the brigade’s communications department, Olha Adamovych, sent the following response: “The investigation is ongoing on this fact, so we cannot provide any comments. You can contact the relevant authorities to clarify the information.”

Prehistory:
- In April 2022, the 210th pontoon-bridge regiment was formed on the basis of the 48th engineering brigade. In August 2023, it became the 211th brigade.
- On November 1, 2024, the president awarded the commander of the 211th pontoon-bridge brigade, Olen Poberezhniuk, with the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree.
- Volodymyr Zelenskyy personally presented Poberezhnyuk with a battle flag during the solemn events on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
