Tino Khrupalla also questioned the future membership of Germany in NATO.
“Russia has won this war,” said the head of “Alternatives for Germany”, adding that “reality caught those who claim to give Ukraine the opportunity to win the war by surprise.”
The politician also questioned Germany’s future membership in NATO.
“The defense union must accept and respect the interests of all European countries – that is, the interests of Russia,” Khrupalla said.
According to him, if the Alliance cannot provide this, Germany should think about how much this association still benefits the country.
Ukraine’s relations with Germany – the latest newsThe day before, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that he wants to end the war in Ukraine. At the same time, he repeated again that he is not ready to transfer Taurus long-range missiles to the Armed Forces.
As Scholz said, “now we have to guarantee that Ukraine’s sovereignty will remain secure and that the killings will eventually stop.”
UNIAN also reported that Scholz’s rival from the opposition Christian Democratic Union (CDU) Friedrich Mertz reacted sharply to the idea of sending German soldiers to Ukraine. He criticized the words of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Annalena Burbok regarding the possible involvement of the German military to maintain peace in Ukraine and called such statements “irresponsible”.
