The Verkhovna Rada made changes to the Tax Code regarding the right to a tax social benefit in case of deprivation of state awards of Ukraine.
Legislative initiative No. 11411 was supported by 259 votes of people’s deputies.
The law was initiated by President Volodymyr Zelensky and is aimed at improving the tax legislation of Ukraine. The changes provide that a person deprived of a state award loses the right to a tax social benefit.
We will remind you that the Verkhovna Rada supported draft law No. 11410, which provides for the deprivation of state awards of Ukraine for persons who were convicted of serious or particularly serious crimes, criminal offenses against the foundations of national security of Ukraine, against peace, security of humanity and international legal order, certain crimes against public safety; those who promote the aggressor state or justify the occupation of Ukraine.
In the first reading, the Verkhovna Rada voted for the draft law on the deprivation of state awards for the popularization or propaganda of Putin’s aggressive Russia in August of this year.
On November 20, this bill was finally approved.
