Today there was a lot of work related to our army – relevant meetings.
At the beginning of the day – Head Committee, a report on the situation, the main tasks that need to be implemented now, and difficulties on the front line. Donetsk directions need significant strengthening. And this applies, in particular, to the supply of weapons from partners – this is a direct dependence: the greater the firepower of our army, the more technological capabilities we have, the more we will be able to destroy the Russian offensive potential and protect the lives of our soldiers. And we are talking about this in detail with our partners. And we are working ourselves – increasing our production, our Ukrainian defense industry. Our range will be greater.
Today, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine returned from a foreign business trip. He reported both on new agreements and on the implementation of previous ones, especially on air defense. We are expecting systems from several partners now in December, plus there are certain things that can be done in January for our air shield. It is important that this is implemented without any delay. Winter is a huge temptation for Russian terrorists.
Today there was a report on energy. I am grateful to all our repair crews, every employee of the energy companies who are now eliminating the consequences of the Russian strikes and protecting the system. Honest work in every region, at every facility is very important. And this is a responsibility not only for one’s object, but for the entire country – for the stability of our entire state and the protection of all our people. It is now necessary to work as much as possible at the level from the government and the Ministry of Energy to all our regions and communities.
The day before, a new package of weapons from the United States of America was announced – as agreed with the President, we are speeding up the delivery. The pace of logistics is increasing, and this is exactly what is needed. This package is worth 725 million dollars. Missiles for anti-aircraft defense, artillery, means for stabilizing our positions.
