President Volodymyr Zelenskyy listened to the report of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, regarding the general situation at the front and the defense of our positions.

This is stated in the message of the head of state.

“The Kurakhiv and Pokrovsky directions remain the most difficult. Grateful to every unit that destroys the occupier and restrains the Russian advance. Our defensive results in the Zaporozhye region are not bad,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

The President discussed with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces the actions of our units in the areas of the Kursk operation. “We continue to cause significant losses to Russia on its territory,” he added.

Separately, the head of state noted that the recently appointed commander of the Ground Forces, Major General Mykhailo Drapaty, and Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Colonel Oleg Apostol, are already starting to perform their tasks.

“We expect the effectiveness of their service in new positions, and this will directly affect the increase in the combat capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” said the President.
