On Monday, December 2, the president of “Barcelona” Joan Laporta visited the training of the “blue garnets” and met with the head coach of the team, Hans-Dieter Flick.
In this way, the head of the club wanted to support the players against the backdrop of not too successful performances in La Liga recently. Both Flick and Laporta assessed this meeting positively. The German coach assured the president that the team would correct the situation in the near future.
Flick also apologized to Laporta for the loss of “Barcelona” to “Las Palmas” (1:2) in the match of the 15th round of the Spanish championship. The German coach believes that this failure somewhat overshadowed the club’s 125th anniversary celebrations. In turn, the president of the “blue garnets” assured Hans-Dieter that he had his full support.
