““Winter is Support” is an attempt to identify those men who evade mobilization, according to People’s Deputy Olga Vasylevska-Smaglyuk”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
“Actually, I have believed for a long time and spoke about it openly that, in my opinion, this thousand, as well as other programs of the experimental project “National Cashback”, are designed to count how many people there are in the state of Ukraine and live permanently on the territory of the state , are not in the occupied territories and have not gone abroad. That is, in my opinion, this is an attempt to recalculate the population,” said Olha Vasylevska-Smaglyuk, answering the question whether Ukrainians should be worried about the transfer of their bank data to the state.
The People’s Deputy suggests that another idea of this program is an attempt to identify those men who are potentially avoiding mobilization.
“We have a million men hiding somewhere. They have not gone abroad, they are not disabled, they are not reserved. That is, these are people who conditionally and theoretically hide from fulfilling their constitutional duty to protect the homeland. If, for example, there are two men in the family who are subject to mobilization, and two women, then it is four thousand hryvnias for them. And of course, it is possible to stimulate in some way to receive these funds, only if the amount is more than one thousand hryvnias, it will be three or four thousand hryvnias per family… Some of the men will register. Because four thousand is better than two,” said the deputy.
On December 1, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi initiated a one-time aid program, which provides for the payment of one thousand hryvnias for each Ukrainian, in order to “support the population in the winter period.” The payments will be financed by the unused budget funds of the Ministry of Economy and other ministries, which, according to the first deputy minister of economy Oleksiy Sobolev, will not have time to master by the end of the year.
More than 2.5 million applications for “Winter eSupport” were received during the day, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced on Monday.
