German Chancellor Olaf Scholz declassified the contents of his mysterious suitcase with which he arrived in Kyiv this morning. A rather personal question was put to the German leader at a press conference with President Volodymyr Zelensky.

– How much detail do you want to know about it? In general, such things that are taken on the road. Something to change into. Well, what is needed, – answered Scholz.

The hall greeted the journalists’ questions with laughter. Both leaders could not refrain from smiling either.

  • Through silver German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s suitcase became the hero of memes in Ukrainian social networks. Users compared it to a “nuclear suitcase” and joked that it contained 650 million euros of new German military support for Ukraine.
  • Olaf Scholz arrived in Kyiv on the morning of December 2. This is his second visit to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. But in June 2022, Scholz did not come alone, but with French President Emmanuel Macron and then Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi.
