It is important for us in Ukraine that the level of German support does not decrease in the future – the address of the President

At the meeting with the chancellor, we agreed that Germany will be with Ukraine in the future exactly as it should be, regardless of what will happen in global politics – what mood changes there may be.”, — write: www.president.gov.ua

I wish you good health, dear Ukrainian men and women!

Chancellor Scholz visited Ukraine today. We talked with him for a long time: one of the longest bilateral meetings, a special format – more than two and a half hours. All topics that are important for our countries were discussed. The main thing is air defense, strengthening our defense of the sky. Germany is already a leader in this and in general in support in Europe. On the continent, Ukraine is number one in the level of aid: from Germany – almost 30 billion euros. Defense support, also – support for our stability. I want to thank the chancellor personally, and all of Germany – all of the German people, who are so fundamentally with us. It is important for us in Ukraine that the level of German support does not decrease in the future. This will be the most important and timely signal to all our other partners. And at the meeting with the chancellor, we agreed that Germany will be with Ukraine in the future exactly as it should be, regardless of what will happen in global politics – what changes in mood there may be. There is still a support package from Germany – it is a military package. The amount is 650 million euros. We expect this package in December.

Today, Olaf saw specific weapons of ours, Ukrainian, and produced jointly with Germany, which can significantly influence the situation at the front. Strike drones. Drones that work with the use of artificial intelligence. Our production capabilities in Ukraine – and even more so in cooperation with partners – are already significantly greater than the capabilities to finance production. We attract investors, attract companies. I am grateful to all German companies that already work with us, work with Ukraine.

We discussed today with Mr. Chancellor and contacts with our partners in Europe in the coming weeks – negotiating work for this month. I want to thank you, Olaf, personally, and thank you to your country, thank you, Germany!

Today, he signed a decree on a package of sanctions against Russian and some other natural and legal persons who work for the Russian military system. These are developers, manufacturers and suppliers of drones for the occupier, people who help bring critical components to Russia, and also train drone operators. In total, there are more than a hundred subjects. And we are working with partners to synchronize our sanctions with their respective decisions.

And one more important thing: the winter support program – “eSupport” continues to gain momentum. There are already more than 3 million 200 thousand applications, and among them 700 thousand are applications for children. This is a very good program pace, the most popular digital service from the state of all time. The second day has not yet ended, but there are already so many applications. I am grateful to the entire team involved in the development and provision of eSupport. And please, at all levels, explain how to make an application, how to get funds and how to use them to pay for utilities or buy books or donate to volunteers. It is felt for many families and at the level of the entire state.

Glory to Ukraine!
