Oleksandr BABYCH: “We have suffered from refereeing more than once”

As you know, in the match of the 15th round of the UPL between “Olexandria” and “Chornomorets” there was a scandal in which emotions ran high. Their maximum degree fell on the first half hour of the match, which included a goal scored by the home team, yellow and red cards to Artur Rudko, Ivan Petryak and Bohdan Butko from Odesa (the last two were sent off).

After all these events, the head coach of “Seamen” Oleksandr Babich decided to take the team off the field as a sign of protest against the refereeing, but the captain of “Olexandria” Kyrylo Kovalets persuaded him not to do so.

After the match, in a flash interview, the manager of Chornomorets said about his wards: “I have to protect, the management has to protect our team.” So, in order to find out how the leadership of the Odesa club reacted to the events in Oleksandria, Sport.ua asked general director Anatoly Mysyura for a comment.

– I will not comment on anything yet, as I do not see any sense in this, – he said. – We will talk with Babich, then we will decide on the comment. And now, I repeat, I am not ready to make any comments.

Meanwhile, Oleksandr Babych is determined not to ignore the refereeing issue.

– Of course, we will talk to the club management. I would like to see some kind of reaction. After all, it is not only about the Alexandrian match. “Chornomorets” suffered from arbitration more than once, and our dissatisfaction grew exponentially.
