According to the correspondent of UNIAN, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Heorhiy Tykhii said this at the briefing.

In particular, he was asked about Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s threats to strike “decision-making centers” in Kyiv.

“Through these statements, Putin demonstrates that he is the only person who wants to continue this war and expand this war,” Tykhi said.

At the same time, as the spokesman said, it is necessary to pay attention to the country where Putin made such a statement, namely Kazakhstan.

In particular, Tykhi emphasized that Putin showed contempt both for Kazakhstan, because this country was chosen as a platform for making such a statement, and for other countries that call for restraint in the war and the avoidance of any actions that would expand the war. Such countries are China, Brazil and some other members of the “G20”

“We expect those countries, which called on everyone to prevent the expansion of the war, to react to the statements made today by Putin,” Tykhi said.

He said that such statements, blackmail and the threat of expanding the war are unacceptable.

Also, the spokesman considers it obvious that Russia continues to gradually degrade to the level of North Korea, which used to be the only country in the world with regular threats to launch missiles. Tychy emphasized:

“It is clear to us that these statements are blackmail with an attempt to scare away Ukrainian partners from supporting Ukraine. We believe that these statements should be treated as blackmail and an attempt to intimidate everyone. We also believe that the timing of these threats is not a coincidence. Obviously , that Putin is trying to influence the new US administration with these statements, and he is trying to essentially show that this new administration is weak. He is trying to test determination and to show that he only wants war and he only wants to expand his aggression.”

At the same time, as the spokesman emphasized, the only way to respond to blackmail should be to reject this blackmail, as well as to show strength and determination.

He added that appeasement tactics never work and have never stopped war.

“We need strength and we need peace through strength,” Tykhi said.

Putin’s threats – detailsAs UNIAN reported, today, November 28, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that “decision-making centers” in Kyiv could become a target for the Oreshnik missile.

At the same time, the head of the President’s Office Mykhailo Podolyak believes that dictator Putin is totally afraid that the war he started against Ukraine will end fatally for him.
