In 2022, Russian occupiers tortured Ukrainian prisoners at the Pripyat Alliance state-owned enterprise located in the city of Narovlya, Gomel Region, Belarus, Schemy reports.
In a joint investigation of the project with The Reckoning Project and the hacker group Cyberpartisans, it is stated that the Pripyat Alliance is a state-owned enterprise under the government of the Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko.
Journalists found out that the plot of land in Narovla, where the Russians organized a military base in 2022 and tortured Ukrainians, belongs to a state-owned enterprise. Ukrainians returning from captivity confirmed that they were held in Belarus, but could not specify the exact location. The only thing they remembered was that it resembled a collective farm

The OSINT team, after studying videos of Russian propagandists and satellite images, established the exact location of this base. Now they are waiting for the corresponding reaction from the Office of the Attorney General. According to Planet Labs satellite data, the Russian military was stationed at this base at least until the beginning of May 2022.
Journalists also published footage captured on a Russian soldier’s action camera found in the Kyiv region. The video, shot on the morning of February 24, 2022, captures a convoy of Russian troops from Belarus crossing the border in the direction of Ukraine, into the Chornobyl area. Later, these soldiers, among other prisoners, were shown at the Belarusian base of the Pripyat alliance in a propaganda story of NTV.
After the start of the full-scale invasion, Ukrainian human rights defenders and journalists began to receive testimonies of brutality in the filtration camp established on the territory of Narovla. This camp was known for its harsh treatment of prisoners, both civilians and military.
According to human rights activists, some of the Ukrainians who passed through this camp are still in captivity, including in penal colonies on the territory of Russia.
