The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted to the latest statement of Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding possible strikes by new Oreshnik ballistic missiles on “decision-making centers in Kyiv”.

“With these statements, Putin demonstrates that he is the only person who wants to continue this war and expand this war,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Georgy Tykhi said at a briefing.

He pointed out that Putin made this statement during his visit to Kazakhstan, showing disrespect to this country and other states that call for avoiding any escalation. We are talking about China, Brazil and other countries.

“We are waiting for these countries to react to Putin’s statement. This is very important,” Tykhy emphasized.

The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that Russia is confidently turning into North Korea, because previously only the DPRK was a country that regularly threatened other countries with missiles.

On November 28, at the summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) countries in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the targets of strikes with the new Oreshnik ballistic missiles could be “decision-making centers in Kyiv.”

On November 21, Russia struck the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, President Vladimir Putin said, with a new missile called Oreshnik. Putin said the strike was in response to Kiev’s use of Western-supplied long-range missiles to attack targets deep in Russia after receiving long-awaited permission from the United States.
