Ukraine is calling for an increased NATO presence in Polish skies and in general on the eastern flank of the Alliance, which would stimulate the release of resources that can be transferred to Ukraine, in particular Polish MiG-29 aircraft. This was stated by the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heorhiy Tykhi, during a briefing UNN.

“These consultations are ongoing, and this is, in fact, an issue in which, again, we and the Polish side have a common point of view. Indeed, we call for an increased presence of NATO in the Polish skies and in general on the eastern flank of NATO, which would stimulate the release of resources, which can be transferred to Ukraine. there is a positive movement in it, but it is too early to talk about specifics,” Tykhy said.

The President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, stated that the further transfer of Polish MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine is possible only on the condition that the skies over Poland will be secured by the equipment of other NATO countries.
