After the end of his professional career as a football player, the famous English midfielder Frank Lampard did not leave the big game and started practicing coaching.

At first, the 46-year-old specialist gained experience at the head of the youth team of London Chelsea, after which he was entrusted to lead Derby County, and later the “retirees” invited the helmsman to work as the head coach of the main team.

Moreover, Lampard had two periods at the head of Chelsea. The last – in the spring of 2023 as acting head coach during the transition period for the club.

Frank hasn’t been in charge of a club since then, but this autumn he was offered the job by struggling Coventry in the current Championship campaign.

In the end, the specialist accepted this challenge and this Saturday he will play the first match at the head of the “sky blues” – at home, against Cardiff City.

The contract is signed until the summer of 2027.
