On Thursday, November 28, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Great Britain Keir Starmer.
The head of state wrote about this in Telegram.
According to Zelenskyi, they discussed, in particular, another massive attack on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine using more than 90 missiles and almost 100 drones. The leaders paid special attention to the issue of further defense cooperation.
“I am grateful to Great Britain for its large-scale support, in particular, for its willingness to allocate at least 3 billion pounds annually for Ukraine’s needs,” the president wrote.
Zelenskyi added that they had reached an agreement with Starmer “be in close contact” with European leaders regarding “steps that should put Ukraine in the strongest possible position before any development of events.”
The President of Ukraine emphasized that for this Ukraine should be invited to NATO and build long-range capabilities.
In addition, Zelenskyi and Starmer discussed Ukraine’s possible participation in next month’s Joint Expeditionary Force summit in Tallinn, Lithuania, at the invitation of Estonia.
“This year, Ukraine became the only country that participated as an observer in the JEF Joint Protector 2024 exercises. We are interested in deepening cooperation with this association,” the president said.
He added that he also agreed with Starmer to speed up the preparation of the agreement on a one-year partnership between Ukraine and Great Britain.
On the night of November 28, Russia carried out a new massive attack on Ukraine with Calibra and X-101 missiles from Tu-95 aircraft, having previously attacked with Shaheds. Energy facilities were under attack. Explosions were heard, in particular, in Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Rivne, Volyn, Khmelnytskyi and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
According to the Air Force, the troops of the aggressor country Russia attacked Ukraine using 188 targets. Air defense shot down 79 missiles and 35 attack drones.
