This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine on November 28.
The attackers set up caches with money and grenades on the outskirts of the city. In this way, those involved were supposed to create a “reserve” for other agents and saboteurs of the Russian Federation for subversive activities in the region.
According to the instructions of the military intelligence of the Russian Federation, the attackers made hideouts mainly in forest plantations, and then sent the coordinates of the hideouts to their Russian curator via messenger.
In addition, the agents collected intelligence on the bases of the Defense Forces. To do this, they bypassed the territory of Kharkiv and the surrounding area, where they conducted preliminary reconnaissance based on the coordinates received from the occupiers.
According to the investigation, the agent group included two former employees of the disbanded Berkut police special unit and the wife of one of them – all residents of Kharkiv.
The extras got into the aggressor’s field of vision because of a former Berkut resident who fled to the Russian Federation even before the start of a full-scale war and began working for the occupiers.
SBU counter-intelligence exposed the intelligence group early, documented its crimes and detained all three of its members in Kharkiv.
During the searches, they seized mobile phones with evidence of cooperation with the Russian game, as well as RGD-5 combat grenades.
The investigators of the Security Service informed the detainees of the suspicion (according to the crimes committed) under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- h 2 Art. 28, ch. 2 Art. 111 (treason committed under martial law by a prior conspiracy by a group of persons);
- h 1 Art. 263 (illegal handling of munitions and explosives).
The perpetrators are in custody. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
As ArmiyaInform reported, a Russian agent wanted to leave a military airfield without electricity in Kirovohrad Oblast.
