Several religious communities of the Kherson Region left the UOC (MP) and joined the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
This was reported by the regional military administration.
In particular, we are talking about the faithful of the Church of John the Baptist of the Taurian Diocese in the village of Naddniprianske (Kherson OTG).
At the parish meeting, people voted to leave the Moscow Patriarchate.
A similar decision was made the day before by five more religious organizations – in Khreshchenivka, Osokorivka, Myrolyubivka, Visoka and Antonivka.
We will remind that on October 17 in Cherkasy, supporters of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate stormed the St. Michael Church of the OCU. After prolonged clashes, the community of the city entered the cathedral and drove out the pro-Russian invaders in cassocks.
The Cherkasy police started a criminal case of hooliganism after a fight broke out in the city between supporters of the OCU and the UOC MP near the St. Michael’s Cathedral.
