The Hollywood power couple have made a very low-key arrival in Australia for Freddie to film the sequel to 90s cult classic I Know What You Did Last Summer.
They were spotted at Chin Chin restaurant in Surry Hills with their children – daughter Charlotte Grace, 15, and son Rocky James, 12 – on Saturday, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The couple will reportedly be staying in a private home in Sydney until Christmas, when they will return to the United States after wrapping up filming.
Freddie, 48, had long been rumoured to be reprising his role as Ray Bronson in the reboot of 1997 horror flick I Know What You Did Last Summer.
Sarah, 47, officially confirmed her husband’s involvement last month and they arrived in Sydney for the start of filming in recent days.
Sarah also starred in the popular original but her character Helen Shivers was killed off, so she will not be appearing in the reprise.
However, she will still be on set as Freddie is starring while her best friend Jennifer Kaytin Robinson will be directing.
‘We joke that I have an unofficial job, which is I am continuity,’ she told People last month.
‘So I’m always the one telling her: ”Well, that would happen, or that wouldn’t happen with those characters,” so I do have kind of an unofficial job title.’
Freddie and Sarah met on the set of I Know What You Did Last Summer, but only began dating three years later, and are now one of Hollywood’s biggest success stories.
Jennifer Love Hewitt is also rumoured to be returning in her role as Julie James for the reboot, but she has not yet been sighted in Australia.
Monster star Nicholas Chavez, Matty Healy’s model fiancée Gabbriette Bechtel and The Summer I Turned Pretty actress Lola Tung are also making up the cast.
Outerbanks’ Madelyn Cline, Bodies Bodies Bodies star Chase Sui Wonders and One Tree Hill icon Austin Nichols are also currently filming for the release in Sydney.
Nicholas, 25, has been spotted out-and-about Down Under in recent days, and surprised fans with a low-key appearance at a Melbourne café at the weekend.
Nicholas, known for his portrayal of killer Lyle Menendez in hit Netflix series Monster, visited the café Little Collins Melbourne.
Waitress Elena took to TikTok to share a video of her encounter with the actor as he stopped to smile for photographs with the delighted fan.
Alongside the video, shared to her page @elenaabellinaso, she penned: ‘POV: You moved to Melbourne and Nicholas Chavez stops by the place where you got a job.’
Nicholas has been keeping details of his visit Down Under under wraps, but his girlfriend Victoria Abbott took to Instagram to share some pictures from the trip.
The couple looked loved-up as they posed arm-in-arm during a hot air balloon ride at sunset in one adorable snap.
They were also seen feeding kangaroos and cuddling koalas as they got up close and personal with the local Australian wildlife.
Details about filming for the hotly-anticipated sequel have been kept tightly under wraps so far, but the film is expected to arrive in cinemas on July 18, 2025.
A reboot featuring the original stars has been in the works for a while, with reports indicating they were in talks to come back to the franchise as far back as February 2023.
The thriller follows four teenagers who accidentally run over a man and dump his body to conceal their crime, before being stalked by a murderer who knows of their secret.
It also starred Ryan Phillippe in a leading role while Johnny Galecki, Bridgette Wilson, and the late Anne Heche – who died in August 2022 aged 53 – also made up the cast.
The hit film, loosely based on Lois Duncan’s 1973 novel, spawned the sequels I Still Know What You Did Last Summer in 1998 and I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer in 2006.
It was also the source material for a 2021 Amazon Prime series that ran for just one season, with Madison Iseman and Brianne Tju in the lead roles.
