“Now in Sumy, a rescue operation is still ongoing at the site of the shelling of the service station. Unfortunately, two people died. There is probably another person under the rubble. A house and a kindergarten nearby were also damaged by this attack. Previously, it was a shelling from a salvo missile system fire. And we can only protect ourselves from this by destroying Russian weapons and launchers on Russian territory. That is why it is so important for us to strike at on Russian territory. This is the only thing that can limit Russian terror and the Russian ability to fight in general. I am grateful to all partners who understand this and explain it to other partners,” said Zelensky.
He noted that today Ukraine was attacked by almost 200 attack drones, most of which were shot down or neutralized thanks to EW.
“This was a significant increase in the pressure on Ukraine due to such terror. And it is important that we manage to protect our people, our infrastructure from most of such threats. But, unfortunately, not 100%. In the Ternopil region, the elimination of the consequences of the attack is still ongoing. Almost 200 of Russian drones against Ukraine per day is almost 200 proofs that Russian desires are extremely far from any ideas about real peace,” Zelenskyy added.

On November 26, Russian troops carried out an air strike on the city of Sumy. As a result of the attack, residential buildings, private cars and objects of civil infrastructure were damaged.
