More than 268 million hryvnias were redirected to provide free hot meals for elementary school students. Earlier, 2 billion hryvnias were directed to the places. For the next year, the state budget provided 2.9 billion UAH for feeding schoolchildren and another 960 million UAH for the modernization of food blocks
Shmyhal said that in order to fulfill the task of providing free meals, students of all grades will seek opportunities and resources in the government.
The representative of the government in the parliament, Taras Melnychuk, noted in Telegram that in 2024, the amount of subventions from the state budget to local budgets for providing food for elementary school students was redistributed.
In addition, the Prime Minister announced that the government is improving the payment mechanism of the eMalyatko program as part of the “Winter Support”.
