“SBU investigators believe that “the terrorist attack was planned by Russian special services””, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
“That day, a police team arrived on a call about domestic violence in an apartment building in the Pechersk district of the capital. During the attempt of the law enforcement officers to enter the house, the so-called “stretcher” with an F-1 grenade went off at the entrance to the premises. As it turned out, no one lived in the apartment, and the “call” by a woman’s voice to line 102 was a fake to trap and kill the policemen, “the message reads.
SBU investigators believe that “the terrorist attack was planned by the Russian special services.”
“For its implementation, they remotely involved a 43-year-old resident of Kyiv region, who has already served six times for robbery, theft and escape from prison. Before installing the “stretcher”, the agent performed a “test” task: he set fire to the relay cabinet of “Ukrzaliznytsia” on the outskirts of the capital and sent the relevant videos to the curator. After that, the recidivist received step-by-step instructions for committing a terrorist attack against Ukrainian law enforcement officers. The attacker rented an apartment in the center of Kyiv, installed a “stretcher” with a live grenade there, as well as video cameras that were supposed to record the detonation in real time,” the special service informs, adding that due to the professional actions of the police, no one was injured during the explosion.
According to the report, during the search of the detainee’s apartment, SBU and police officers seized a mobile phone, SIM cards and clothes with evidence of criminal activities.
Investigators of the Security Service informed the defendant of the suspicion under part. 2 Art. 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act), the man is in custody. He faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
