As reported by Ukrinform, Trump wrote about this on his Truth Social social network.

According to him, this will be the answer to illegal immigration from these countries and drugs coming across the border.

“On January 20th, as one of my first executive orders, I will sign all the necessary documents to impose a 25% tariff on all goods coming into the United States from Mexico and Canada, despite the ridiculous open borders,” the president-elect said. “This tariff will remain in effect until drugs, in particular fentanyl, and all illegal drugs stop invading our country!”

According to Trump, both Mexico and Canada can “easily solve this long-overdue problem.”
