“High Representative (EU) Josep Borrell will go to Fuji and Anania (Italy) on November 25-26 to participate in the second meeting of the G7 foreign ministers, which will be held under the presidency of Italy this year,” the EEAS said.

On Monday, November 25, as indicated, Borrell will participate in discussions with colleagues from the G7 regarding the situation in the Middle East and the Red Sea. Later in the day, Arab partners will join discussions under the theme “Together for the Middle East”.

“On Tuesday, the 26th, Supreme Representative Josep Borrell will hold an exchange of views with the G7 foreign ministers and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiga on the issue of ensuring Ukraine’s constant support in the face of Russia’s aggressive war,” the message states.

Discussions, as noted, will continue with an emphasis on the Indo-Pacific region with the participation of partner countries from the region. A number of other international issues will be on the agenda of the meeting, including the Horn of Africa, Venezuela and Haiti.

As part of the meeting of foreign ministers of the G7 countries, Borrell will also hold a number of bilateral meetings, as indicated.

The diplomatic summit is the first after the re-election of Donald Trump to the White House and the last under the Italian presidency, notes Euronews. This year’s discussions will conclude the G7 ministerial meetings under the Italian presidency before passing the baton to Canada.
