The Ministry of Defense told about the preparation of long-range drones for attacks on Russia. It takes place in several stages, and Ukrainian intelligence is capable of hitting targets at a distance of 2,000 kilometers.
This was reported in Telegram by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine of the Ministry of Defense (GUR of the Ministry of Defense).
Stages of preparation of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) include the analysis of the target and the range to them, and the analysis of the enemy’s anti-aircraft forces (AAF) and means of radio-electronic warfare;
Long-range drones have become increasingly difficult to use over the past year, but still work. In general, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the use of attack UAVs has undergone serious changes, the department noted.
“We are exactly the group that was the first to launch almost all long-range drones and those that came before them. We can see the dynamics – now we can hit targets at a distance of 2,000 km,” said the unnamed commander of the group of long-range UAV operators of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the GUR has been actively carrying out operations on the territory of Russia aimed at weakening its military and political potential. These actions are part of a hybrid war that includes sabotage, cyber attacks, the use of drones and strikes on strategic targets, including logistics hubs, fuel depots, railway infrastructure and air bases.
Operations are aimed not only at reducing the aggressor’s resource capabilities, but also at undermining his morale and ability to wage war.
Earlier, the attack drones of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine flew into a number of facilities of the Russian military industrial complex in Tatarstan.
And recently, special agents of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine from the “Chemist” group attacked a Russian military base in Syria.
