After the end of the game, the head coach of the Brewers, Serhii Shishchenko, commented on the performance of his own team.

“A very cool match in our performance. We really wanted to win, because we need points in order to get out of this situation. We prepared very fruitfully for Kryvbas, analyzed their game, the problems they have in the game, we wanted use these moments.

But the approaches we had today to the opponent’s goal, we did not manage to translate into goals… I am very grateful to the boys for their attitude, for the game, this is a very unfortunate defeat. I think that the second half was behind us and we played very powerfully. We had an advantage, but we could not turn it into a victory.

I said in previous interviews that the team already understands my requirements, they have become more aggressive, structured, disciplined. I can see how the team is progressing. I think everyone can see that we have a completely different game – not as perfect as we want, but I am grateful to the guys for the way they act in training, how they already understand each other on the field.

We work a lot in training. This week, the boys worked a lot with the ball in positional attacks, because we understood that Kryvbas sits very low when the opponent has the ball. Therefore, these positional attacks were very important to us.

We trained every day this week and it turned out pretty well. What is it for? So that when there will be such moments as there were in the second half, so that the guys understand how to act in this or that situation. Indeed, we had good approaches, but the quality of finishing was problematic. We will analyze and improve it already in the training process.

I will repeat that quality and aggression in attacking actions are very important to us, because we need to score goals to win, that’s understandable. But I want everything in the complex, so that we work very well in defense. However, one mistake cost us points today.

Injured? Everything is fine with Grisio, and Medinsky will be examined because there are certain problems.

Every match is important, because you need to score points, and the Left Bank is no exception. We will already prepare in a normal mode, as we prepared for each opponent. The boys will have a rest tomorrow and we will already prepare for the Left Bank.

We all want to win, any team wants to win. Football, any sport in order to win. Of course, we want three points, but how the match will turn out, the game will show, we cannot predict anything.

A draw is also a positive result, because one point, any point scored, is a result, because it is not a defeat. The game will show everything, but of course we will aim for victory.

Surprised that Kryvbas didn’t act so aggressively, because I know how Kryvbas can play. This, of course, is our credit, because we didn’t let them play the way they planned. They have very fast players in the attack, so it was surprising that they did not play so clearly in the attack,” said the Ukrainian specialist.

In the next round, Obolon will visit Left Bank in the capital derby.
