Details: The department explained that an increased concentration of suspended particles (dust) is recorded in both districts.
In particular, the following indicators of air pollution are observed at stationary air monitoring points in Kyiv:
- European Union Avenue, 64-G – general air quality index – 39 (low level of pollution);
- St. Shchuseva, 20 general air quality index – 48 (low level);
- St. Turivska, 28 – quality index 18 (low level of pollution);
- 97 Beresteyskyi Avenue – quality index 31 (low level of pollution);
- St. Chinaivska, 22 – quality index 35 (low level of pollution);
- St. Kharkiv highway, 7/1 – quality index 82 (high level);
- St. Architektora Verbytskyi, 26 – air quality index 77 (high level).
The general index of air quality is formed automatically based on indicators of several main pollutants. The lower the CAQI, the better the air quality.
Doctors advise during a high level of air pollution:
- do not go outside once more and close the windows;
- to refuse physical activity in the open air;
- drink a lot of water.
