As part of the 13th round of Italian Serie A, Genoa hosted Cagliari in their first match under Patrick Vieira as head coach.

The start of the match was not the best for the Griffins: already in the 8th minute, the guests had the right to score a penalty, which Razvan Marin successfully converted.

However, even before the break, Vieira’s wards were able to return parity on the scoreboard thanks to Morten Friendrup’s goal, and in the second half, Fabio Miretti put Genoa ahead with his goal.

However, it was too early for the home team to celebrate the victory, as in the 86th minute they scored their second penalty, this time successfully executed by Roberto Piccoli. As a result, the final whistle recorded a productive draw of 2:2.

We will remind that the Ukrainian midfielder of Genoa Ruslan Malinovskyi continues the recovery process after a serious injury he received at the end of September in a match against Venice.
