According to the head of the German Ministry of Defense, the master of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, “has long ago completely switched to a military economy.”
In three months, Russia produces as many weapons and ammunition as the entire European Union produces in a year, Pistorius added.
He also noted that in his speech at the end of October, Putin spoke of a “serious, uncompromising struggle for a new world order.”
Pistorius says that Putin already considers himself the winner of the war against Ukrainians.
At the same time, a hybrid war using disinformation and fake news is in full swing, the German minister warned.
“Our security is a fragile asset,” he said.
Germany should speed up the pace and invest more in its “military potential”, the head of the Ministry of Defense summarized.
It was previously reported that the German government will publish a new strategy for the development of the defense industry by the end of the year, which aims to reduce bureaucracy and speed up the production of weapons.
Pistorius himself stated in September that Germany is ready to become the main pillar of deterring Russian aggression in Europe.
